About Somee Lab
Somee Lab is a one-person indie software studio run by a software developer. It builds the small software I kept wishing existed — macOS menu-bar apps, web tools, and maps.
This site isn't only a product shelf. The reason a product got built, how it was designed, what went wrong, and what running it is actually like — all of that gets written down here too. You'll find those in the app stories.

How I work
- Built, not curated. Everything listed here is something I designed and shipped myself.
- Small surface, simple use. One job done well beats a feature list. Removing comes before adding.
- Minimal data collection. Most of these run without an account or login, and don't ask for anything the product doesn't need. Details are in the privacy policy.
- Write it down. The problems hit along the way, and the reasoning behind each choice, become posts.
