About Somee Lab

Somee Lab is a one-person lab that builds small apps for everyday decisions — lightweight, local-first, and unapologetically opinionated about what software should and shouldn't do.

Why this exists

Most productivity apps grow until they collapse under their own weight. Calendars become life managers, launchers become app stores, drag-and-drop helpers become subscription services. Somee Lab moves in the opposite direction — each app is built to do one thing, do it quickly, and stay out of the way.

What I make

• Calery — a menu-bar calendar with Pomodoro and reminders.
• Cirk — a radial launcher for macOS.
• Epheme — an ephemeral drag-and-drop workspace.

Principles

• Local-first. No servers, no accounts, no telemetry.
• One-trick apps. If an app does two things, it does neither well.
• Ship and observe. Prefer shipping to a launch plan.
• Write along the way. Each app has a story; the blog is where it lives.
